This article analyzes the distinctive features of poetic meter and rhythmic structure in the works of Erkin Vakhidov. It examines the application of barmoq (syllabic), aruz (quantitative), and sarbast (free verse) meters in the poet’s lyricism, highlighting their roles in shaping poetic content, musicality, and artistic-aesthetic impact. Furthermore, the study explores—through specific examples—the modern interpretation of aruz meter in contemporary Uzbek poetry, the capacity of barmoq meter to evoke a folklike tone, and the significance of sarbast meter in expressing free thought and inner emotional experiences.
